Hear from local writers at the Ballard Writers Collective’s 8th annual reading

On Friday, Nov. 3, the Ballard Writers Collective will host their 8th annual reading at the Sunset Hill Community Association (3003 NW 66th). Local writers will read from their new works on the theme “Peace of Mind”.

In addition to the reading, there will be a gift basket raffle and book sales by the authors. “Since 2010 this event has brought together neighbors building a community almost 200 strong,” Ballard writer Peggy Sturdivant tells My Ballard. The readers this year will be: Charlotte & Michele Bacon, Kristina Cerise, Jan Dalrymple, Diana Elser, Treya Forlenza, Karen Gamble, Roselle Kovitz, Ann Teplick, Meg Pasquini, Francine Walls, Jenny Zenner and music by Bob Dalrymple.

Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

  1. This is wonderful reading! I love books, and this is my favorite hobby. I recently needed to summary the last book I read. This task was for my college, and it caused some problems. I had to contact the summary maker to finish this task on time. Although I love books, this task was not so easy.

  2. The Ballard Writers Collective has been hosting a reading every year since 2008. The event is free, open to the public, and people of all backgrounds are encouraged to attend. The event is always on the first Saturday in June. This year, they will be hosting the 8th annual reading at the Ballard Goodwill store. I have been the part of this amazing event many times and also got Lettersaboutliterature.org source which is about the plagiarism detector for writer and I really enjoy using this tool because it makes my writing authentic and unique from other writers as it detects plagiarism instantly.
