Crews will be out repairing parts of the Burke Gilman and Ship Canal Trails starting today (August 21).
Here’s a map of the work being done on the Burke Gilman (click the map for a larger view):
Work will begin on the Burke Gilman trail between the Fremont Bridge and Gas Works (spot 5) and will be closed from 9am to 3pm today; bikers will be detoured to N. 34th St.
On August 24-26, crews will be repairing both sides of the Fremont Bridge (spot 6) and the trail will be closed from 7am to 7pm each day from Stone Way N to Phinney Ave N. There will be a signed detour to N 34th St.
On August 25, two spots on the trail between Fremont and Ballard (spots 1 and 2) will be closed from 9am to 3pm; detours will be on parallel neighborhood streets from NW 36th St to NW 40th St.

On August 22 and 23, the trail just west of Fremont Bridge (spots 1-5) will be closed from 9am to 3pm; bikes will be detoured to Nickerson from 3rd Ave N to 3rd Ave W.
The Ship Canal Trail on W Emerson Pl (spot 6) will be closed from 9am to 3pm on August 24, with a detour to the north side of W Emerson Pl, from 21st to 19th Ave W.
