First annual Tasty Tunes festival coming to Loyal Heights

This Saturday, August 25, a host of local beer and entertainment will be filling the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St) for the first-ever Tasty Tunes. Organized by the center, the event is a fundraiser to raise money for the Loyal Heights’ scholarship fund, which helps low-income families have access to childcare and recreational opportunities.

The entertainment will kick off at 4pm with the Elliott Bay Blues Band, followed by the The Not-Its at 5pm and The Amber Lanterns at 6pm.  There will also be an African drumming presentation at 4:45pm, and a juggling show at 5:45pm.

A few food trucks will be on site, and a range of Seattle breweries will be in the indoor beer garden such as Peddler, Stoup, Georgetown Brewing, Lucky Envelope, Fremont Brewing, and Elysian. There will also be a raffle with prizes, to be given away at the end of the night.

Indoor beer garden tickets are $15 for presale, and $20 at the event. The first 250 to buy beer garden tickets either over the phone or in person will receive a commemorative glass for the event. To obtain presale tickets, either call the community center 206-684-4052, or log in to the Seattle Parks website and use barcode 185874 to find the event.
