Man shot during tenant dispute in Wallingford

A man was shot and wounded yesterday afternoon after a tenant dispute in a Wallingford rooming house in the 1900 block of N 46th St . Police say the man was shot by another tenant after he reportedly chased after a third tenant while armed with a knife.

According to police, the incident happened just past 4pm on Tuesday when two tenants in separate units had a fight. One man armed himself with a knife and began chasing the other tenant, who then went to a third tenant for help. That man then armed himself with a handgun and shot the man with the knife. Police say this isn’t the first dispute between the tenants.

The man who was shot is at Harborview with non-life threatening injuries, and police are still investigating.

  1. Now tenant #3 will have to justify his action and suffer any consequences of being armed. I hope his weapon is legal. Just watch tenant #1 (the one who was attacked fold and leave the shooter to suffer the dealing with law enforcement to justify the shooting.

  2. Several of you seem to have inside intel on what happened here, but somehow the picture isn’t becoming clearer. I’m beginning to question the credibility of MyBallard commentators. :-)

    1. @ Ducks: there are many “experts here on this site. Just ask them. Credibility isn’t a matter in today’s gotcha times. Many are just thrilled to see their words and names someplace. Many here are pure rabble rousers with little skin in the game and are slaves to pop culture and all that brings. If you watched any Little League baseball recently you had to endure stoppages for challenge after challenge. Sad. Seems the truth is what too many want it to be.
