Tonight (Oct. 24), County Councilmember Jeanne Kohl-Welles will host a town hall at the Nordic Museum at 7pm. The meeting will be about the 2019-2020 proposed budget.
Also at the meeting will be a panel including Dwight Dively, King County Budget Director; Mark Ellerbrook, Division Director of Housing & Community Development at DCHS; Brad Finegood, Assistant Division Director of Behavioral Health and Recovery at DCHS; and Bill Bryant, Manager of Service Development at King County Metro Transit. The panel will be on hand to answer questions and help explain the budget process and its impact on specific departments and operations that affect Ballard.
“This is a unique opportunity for my constituents to share their priorities on how the county intends to invest in our region over the next two years,” Kohl-Welles said in a statement about the town hall. “Hearing from the public helps me better do my job so I can work to secure investments important to the residents of District Four and the entire county.”
The town hall is free and open to the public.
