Downtown Dog Lounge opening in Ballard in December

Downtown Dog Lounge has announced they’ll be opening their new Ballard location on Dec. 3.

The 7000 square-foot facility is at 824 NW 46th St, next to Giddy Up Burgers, and has been described by owner Elise Vincentini as a “Palm Springs resort for dogs”. It will have both an indoor and outdoor park, with fake grass and an open-sided shipping container lounge.

When they open, daycare will be available straight away, but their other services — bathing, grooming and boarding — will come in early 2019.

They’ll be doing a Thanksgiving event before they officially open — on Thanksgiving day from 10am to noon they’ll have a Turkey Social. The cost is $15, and they’ll send your dog home with a Turkey Mash, which sounds like a special Thanksgiving meal to distract your dog from what’s cooking in your oven. Reserve a spot at reservations@downtowndoglounge.com.

  1. They are a great company. I brought my other dog to their location many times. Many people would bring in their dogs for the day boarder and dogs would be wiggling, happy knowing where going. My dog loves other dogs so this will be great. Welcome to Ballard/Fremont!

    1. Oh look, it’s another story on the internet for a worthless member of society such as yourself to make yet another predictably sad plea for attention.

    1. Hi, thanks for your support! Remember friend, that same edict applies to children…until they, of course, become one of our ‘most vulnerable’ community members. Then, everyone gets to take care of them. Get woke, friend! Remember, Vote Salty, Vote O’Brine 2019!

      1. Hi, thanks for your support! Remember, teach your children early and well! Don’t give them smartphones, tablets, video games, or bicycles. Give them what will provide for them in the long run – tents, an addiction to heroin, and an internet account at the library! Hook ’em early, and keep ’em coming back for more. Pretty soon, we’ll have more ‘vulnerable’ community members than regular community members, and that’s good for me! Vote Salty, Vote O’Brine 2019!

          1. Taking your dog baby into the library is also a constitutionally protected right here in the Peoples Republic of Sawant.
No, they don’t have to be service dogs, you just have to feel the need.
            All are welcome!
Vote Salty, Vote O’Brine in 2019!
            Viva la revolutionne!
            I Like (m)Ike!

      1. Hi, thanks for your support! How right you are, friend. Our most vulnerable community members are my most vocal supporters…when they’re not yelling at imaginary objects, or rambling on about the Gulf War and the Bush presidency. Thanks for Getting Woke (C), friend! Vote Salty, Vote O’Brine 2019!

  2. We were invited to a private opening here last Friday and the place is incredible! We’ve been patrons of the one of 15th for the last two years and are happy to see them continue their service even closer to our home. Elise and Michael are wonderful, we look forward to coming her often.

  3. Later, as he sat on his balcony eating the dog, Dr. Robert Laing reflected on the unusual events that had taken place within this huge apartment building during the previous three months.

  4. Why aren’t all “dog parents” vegans?
I mean, pigs are as smart as dogs.
Why do we keep some animals as “babies” but grind others up for burgers?

Don’t get me wrong, veganism is retarded, but maybe just maybe so is this obsession with dogs and cats.

  5. This is the most egregious example of species-ism I’ve ever seen!
Where are the cats, the raccoons, the possum, the coyotes?
    Disgusting racism.

      1. Aren’t there cats who identify as dogs? Do they get to go to the Downtown Dog Lounge? It’s outrageous I tell you.
And there are probably dogs who identify as cats. They must feel mortified and humiliated by all this butt sniffing and slobbering!

  6. I got this mean cool Alley Cat name Tigger…might drop him off up in there and see some dogs get scratched and scrapped up and riled up ! …ha ha

  7. I bet these very same people using this luxury are also the people bitching about: wage disparity, starving children, big business, white privilege, and many other social issues, and on and on. I thought hustling to get to my kids day-care was a huge thing. Got priorities?

  8. Looking at the “discussion” here, this comes to mind: Who knew there were so many a******s on this website? So many idiots, with too much time on their hands, think they’re cute.
