Giant menorah lighting this Sunday at Bergen Place

On Sunday night, Bergen Place Park will be lit up with a giant menorah in honor of Hanukkah.

Organized by the Chabad of Northwest Seattle, the festivities will start at 5pm. They’ll have free menorah kits to give away, hot latkes, jelly doughnuts, the dreidel man, live music and face painting. And, to top it off, a fire engine will be on site offering tours for kids. The first candle to be lit will be in honor the firefighters, according to the event info.

This year, the group has a new menorah — the original one was vandalized last year.

Bergen Place is full of holiday events this weekend: the annual HolidayFest and photos with Santa will be from 3 to 6pm on Saturday, Dec. 1.
