Rad Power Bikes to open new location next week

Ballard’s electronic bike store is gearing up for a big move to their new location on the other side of Ballard.

Rad Power Bikes will be opening their new showroom on the east side of Ballard at 1128 NW 52nd St. on March 29th. Their last day of servicing at their current showroom (2622 NW Market St) is on March 22nd, and they’ll officially close their doors on March 24th. They’ll be moving all their supplies and bikes to the new location over the course of a few days.

Rad has been in their current location for three years, but are relocating in order to expand — they’re upgrading from 1,500 sq. ft. to 8,500 sq. ft., “to better accommodate the hundreds of customers who visit each week for sales, service, and test rides.”

The owners are planning a grand opening celebration for later this spring. To stay updated on their plans, follow them on Facebook.

I’m sure they and their customers will be thrilled at the new trash camp about three properties to the east. Welcome to Ballard!

Welcome to My Ballard where junkies are saints and people fed up with the trash and crime are insulted by flugger et al.
Hey Flugger what are you 12?

You know, Uncle Buck, I’ve actually heard that a lot of people think that KOMO junkie special was propaganda? That’s why this problem will never get fixed. Too many twinkle toes in this city (to steal a line from the Ballard upholsterer).

yeah the KOMO/Sinclair Network/Trump TV special is propaganda. It sets out to dehumanize the poor and divide the rest. It’s a distraction from the republicans raiding the US’ social services and giving the tax dollars to the rich. and stupid people like you fall for it.

I think you’re kidding, but I can’t see your face.

I wish WFS was kidding but this is actually what the far left fringe believes, just ask the SCC. There is no center of left or right with them, you are either with them or your not. If you’re not you are pegged as a white nationalist, racist, nazi, the list of names go on and on. There is no debate or conversation, so why bother trying to reason.

Yes. They are doing the “Fake News” shuck-and-jive by calling it “propaganda” now that the problem was finally put into a cohesive documentary. Before, all the commenters who said same were “Russian Bots” or “MagaNazis” etc.

You see, if you dissent with the Far Left you’re an “idiot without evidence”, but if you present evidence and cite facts you’re a “hateful bigot”. It’s a petty communist trick that adolescents use on Twitter – or kidults use in Seattle.

The developers are running the show and they can get the local socialist idiots to go to bat for them because “stop Drumpf!” or something. Meanwhile the City Council behaves like a bunch of overpaid DMV hires with some identity politics ax to grind. Useful idiots, all.

Really interesting. It’s like the entire city is Evergreen State College.

whoa…someone had a nerve struck on this one. sticking up for trump pretty hard there are you? did someone get upset by linking the hate in the KOMO piece to your Fearless Leader? tell me, what’s the difference between Drumpf and Kim Jong-Un? Oh right, we had a bunch of idiots in this country who intentionally put Drumpf in place through the R primaries. (Not saying the D’s did much better.)

“Get your head out of trumps racist *ss and you will see it too.”

So if I choose to have a different opinion… I have my head up Trump’s ass, is that what you are saying to me? Thank you WFS for making my point so much more skillfully than I did. Oh and btw, there are people right of center that are not Trump supporters.

Welcome to My Ballard where internet warriors post about homeless junkies and insult liberals on every story, whether relevant or not, but do nothing in real-life to improve their community.

so sorry you feel insulted by me bucky. have you had one comment on this blog that wasn’t full of hate? btw i’m an adult. you know, someone who takes responsibility for their actions and doesn’t put all blame on the mentally ill. since you seem to think all problems are someone else’s fault, and you only are capable of vomiting hate on here, maybe go back and get your GED? or therapy, as i’ve suggested to you numerous times. it has helped many people, i think there’s at least a chance it can help you get over the hurdles you’re facing in your journey through mental derangement.

I’m, wondering when our greedy city council/government will catch on and treat these things like a vessel or auto; licensing them. We all see these things zooming in and out of traffic, on the sidewalk then not, and many times speeding. This is an well just waiting to be tapped, in true liberal/progressive fashion. Do it for the children. Do it and leave my property taxes alone.

this is so tired. it costs more to license bikes than what they’d bring in. they are actually not contributing to road damage like cars and large trucks and buses are. it’s on the most vociferous and/or ignorant car-only people who advocate for licensing bikes. you like throwing tax dollars away? that’s a great way to do it.

Give it time and they probably will license them. Not because it’s the logical thing to do as much as it is the revenue-generating thing to do. The council is running out of things to tax, bikes are still up for grabs though.

What fluggermutation was trying to tell you is that to license bicycles is not cost effective! It has been tried many times in many cities including Seattle some time ago. It does not work, cost more to administer that it makes, can’t be effectively enforced etc. etc.

Wow! Upgrading from 1,500 to 8,500 sq ft! What a great win for a Ballard business and their customers. This is fantastic. Congratulations!
