On Tuesday, April 2, District 6 candidate and police officer Sergio Garcia will be hosting a presentation on safety awareness.
“As a police officer, I know the importance of keeping our families safe. Many of you have reached out to voice your concerns and ask questions in regards to public safety issues,” Garcia writes in the event info.
The event will be held at the Fremont Abbey (4272 Fremont Ave N), and will feature Donna Miles, a safety, self-defense, and family security consultant who will speak about how to be aware and respond to unsafe situations.
There’s room for 200, and the event is free and open to the public. Garcia will also be answering questions about safety from his position as a Seattle police officer. To RSVP or learn more, click here.
“Everything is fine. Seattle is perfectly safe. Nothing to see here. But please let’s talk nonstop about phantom Russians, gender pronouns, and letting junkies shoot up in sanctioned facilities.”

I’ve heard there is this RADICAL SOLUTION to crime and predatory behavior in public. They used these organizations called “police forces” in the 20th century who enforced these weird things called “laws” that prohibited violence, theft, and public drug use. Pretty wild, huh? Hard to believe that local govts could do things besides collect taxes and give big concessions to their developer buddies and consultants – but according to historians these “police forces” worked well to keep the criminals at bay. I’ve heard the same about this concept called “borders”. Pretty wild, too. Back in the 20th century, govts acted on behalf of their citizens to protect them from smugglers and human trafficking by simply enforcing a national boundary.
Think of it as your social justice “safe spaces” but an entire city or country. WILD
