National Nordic Museum summer camps start soon

The National Nordic Museum’s summer camp programming is about to start, and they’re offering a limited number of scholarships to help cover the costs.

The camps, starting in July, are for kids ages 7 to 11. The Nordic has $100 scholarships for students on a first-come, first-serve basis, paid for by a grant to the museum.

Here’s a rundown of the upcoming camps:

  • Session 1: Museums 101, July 8 – 12, 9am – 3pm. Have you ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes in a museum? Join us for a week of fun projects and activities that will culminate in a special exhibit created by campers. Who decides what goes into a museum exhibit? You do!
  • Session 2: Nordic Journeys, July 29 – August 2, 9am – 3pm. Creative craft projects and fun activities will bring to life the stories explored in Nordic Journeys, the permanent exhibit at the new Nordic Museum that takes you from pre-Viking times to today.

The full cost of each program is $200 for museum members, and $250 for non-members.
