Aegis Living has plans to build a new senior community on the corner of 9th Ave NW and NW Market St.
The Seattle DJC reports that Aegis acquired the site at 943 NW Market St. for $2.8 million.
Aegis, which started in Redmond, currently has a number of locations in the greater Seattle area, and plan to offer assisted living and memory care at the new Ballard location.
A 4-bedroom, single-family home built in 1943 currently stands on the site.
