Scenes from Seattle Night Out

The weather was perfect for last night’s Night Out, with hundreds of block parties happening around the city and several in and around Ballard.

Here a few shots from the action, taken by Laura Mansfield:

Below, tacos are served up at the Piper’s Creek shopping area.

And below, neighbors gathering at NW 82nd St.

    1. How so, troll? I see a number of different ethnicities in these photos, I will not attempt to identify gender identity or sexual orientation as I’m sure neither would you. Just because you aren’t welcome does not mean that they are not inclusive. It really is just you.

          1. elenchos2 – WHAT are you talking about? “inclusive” What are you talking about?

          2. I’m talking about the faux progressives in the city who area active on Twitter slamming Trump all the time, but prefer to live in whites-only neighborhoods and restrict zoning laws to keep poor people down.

    2. I think it’s about time to change your troll personality yet again. Your fake progressive troll personality has long overstayed its welcome. You’ve already done the knuckle-dragging conservative troll personality.

So what’s next in your bag of multiple personalities? An anti-vaxxer mom? A mentally disturbed gun owner that thinks that Obama, Hillary and UN Agenda 21 is coming to take your guns? We’re all tickled pink waiting to see. Don’t leave us hanging!

  1. Geeky Swedes,
Elenchos2 comments are continually off-topic and intended as race and/or gender baiting thus in violation of Rule 8: Be respectful of others. Do not disrupt comment threads with repetitive, inflammatory posts or off-topic remarks.

I would be happy to provide over a dozen recent instances of these violations should you need them.

Why do you allow these inflammatory and off-topic comments to remain?

    1. This is a forum where a bunch of people with different viewpoints come to post. Just because someone isn’t constantly in agreement with you, doesn’t mean they should be silenced. A diversity of views can be a good thing.

      1. Perhaps more a figuring out what totalitarians appear as and do. I find these events obnoxious, as it’s the same 2-3-4-5 people doing the same things every year. The shine has worn off this event and hosting a soiree/party is just as easy, and without city involvement. What IS the intent of these things anyway? To meet and talk to your neighbors? About what? Their incessant barking dogs, or their trees dumping crap into your yard? They won’t listen any time, let alone this special night.

        1. Paintking – where do you live? That is just the stupidest comment. Please be real and try to live in this neighborhood with the rest of us. What are you trying to prove with the comments?

  2. OMG everything is not about race!! Things are not going to get better (race wise) until everyone just sees people as people and not as colors!!! The night out is for everybody on “the block” to get to know each other. People that don’t live on the block or blocks don’t come. It’s not that they are not welcome they just stay and “party” with their closer neighbors. Get a life elenchos2.

      1. I am a POC and I live with “white folks” in Ballard. My block is mostly but not entirely white and not one of us POC feels unwelcome, excluded or whatever else you are implying and we don’t need your fake-ass white savior bullshit baiting the real racists in Ballard. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out you are associated with the Proud Boys and just trying to stir the pot.

It is way past time for you to shut up and move along.

GEEKY SWEDES, your continued silence on the matter of elenchos2 constant race baiting is complicity.
