Truck gets stuck under Ballard Bridge, causes back-ups

A moving truck became stuck today just after 12pm after turning west onto Leary under the Ballard Bridge.

A number of members of the My Ballard Group reported seeing back-ups on the bridge as a result — the eastbound lane of Leary under the bridge is blocked, which is likely to cause some issues for those traveling east along Leary as well.

If you’re trying to get into Ballard from across the Ship Canal, you may want to detour through Fremont until it’s all clear.

  1. If you look closely, you’ll see two legs of the homeless guy normally on that corner sticking out from underneath, looking like the wicked witch crushed by a house. Turns out, the truck didn’t run him over, he’s actually underneath stealing the catalytic converter for scrap off the truck!

    1. Wow, what a boring life you must lead and pathetic human you must be to have to stoop so low as to insult homeless people in a desperate attempt to make yourself feel superior to others. I truly hope you seek the mental help you need or karma that repays you someday.
