The work to improve Market Street west of 24th is ticking away, with crews pouring concrete for curbs, pole foundations, and driveways in the coming days.
This week, westbound traffic is shifting to the south side of NW Market St. between 24th and 26th to accommodate work on the north side of the street, according to SDOT. Eastbound traffic will also switch to the south side after they finish work on the center lane.
Crews will begin preparing for concrete pours on curbs and sidewalks along the south side and will apply new channelization markings at Market Street and NW 54th. They’ll also work on pouring the remaining pole foundations on the north side of Market St.
SDOT says sidewalk and curb work at NW 54th St is scheduled for this week, and will work with local businesses to coordinate driveway paving. They say pedestrians should expect detours along the project corridor.
