Former Bento Sushi location could turn into multistory apartment building

A new apartment building may be developed at the corner of 85th and 15th in Crown Hill.

According to the Seattle DJC, the senior housing plan for 8501 15th Ave NW seems to have fallen by the wayside, and new prospective buyer Lennar Multifamily Community (LMC) has filed a plan to redevelop the 30,940-square-foot site into apartments.

The corner site — where Bento Sushi used operate — has been upzoned to 75 feet, which opens it up to become another multistory apartment building.

There are scant details so far about the design plan, but we do know that the architect would be Clark Barnes. We’ll update when more information becomes available.

  1. Too bad we can post pictures on this, I got a good one of a “total recall” tag on the north side facing 85th from a few months ago, think alien girl in the bar

  2. The sun? It’s over-rated and besides, we don’t need no stinkin sun. We need massive density. You DO want to watch your neighbors masticate after all, right? Easier to be controlled as well.

  3. I’m so ready for this. I live a block away and am totally sick of the empty buildings and vacant lot. Especially now that Value Village is empty as well!
