New gym Ekstasis Strength & Conditioning now open in Ballard

A new gym called Ekstasis Strength & Conditioning has opened at 2622 NW Market St, next to Firehouse Coffee.

The gym focuses on personalized workouts and small group training, and they say they’re the first gym in Seattle to offer classes using VersaClimber, a low-impact and stationary aerobic and conditioning machine.

Owner and trainer Mike Seilo has been a strength and conditioning coach for 15 years, and said his goal is make personalized workouts more affordable.

“As I have continued in my career, I have noticed a real gap in the Seattle market for affordable personal training options,” Seilo said in an email about the opening. “I want to change that.”

Ekstasis will offer personalized small group training, one-on-one coaching, aerobic conditioning, and youth athletic classes. Their hours are Monday to Friday, 6am to 7pm.
