What’s Open:.
- Majestic Bay Theatre, with the first showings at 8:30am
- Ballard Smoke Shop, open at 8am – 2am, with Christmas Dinner served 2pm to 7pm
- The Old Pequliar Pub open from 12pm – 2am, kitchen open at 2pm
- King’s Hardware, open at 7pm
- Hattie’s Hat open at 3pm
- Lockspot Café open from 4pm – 2am
- Ballard Mandarin open regular hours
- Ray’s Boathouse and Cafe, open noon to 8pm
What’s Closed:
- All US post offices
- Most major banks and credit unions
- Seattle Transfer stations
- Ballard Library
- Ballard Neighborhood Service Center
- All Seattle Parks and Recreation community centers including Ballard Pool
Things to remember:
- On-street parking is free in Seattle on Christmas Day.
- King County Metro Transit bus routes are operating on a Sunday schedule. Click here to check out more details about the holiday schedule.
- Garbage, food and yard waste, and recycling will not be picked up in Seattle on Christmas Day. Collections scheduled for Wednesday will occur on Thursday, and collections for the rest of the week will be delayed by one day.

We just enjoyed our second Christmas breakfast in a row at the Smoke Shop. We enjoyed it last year and promised ourselves we would return. I’m so thankful they’re open and it’s such a no fuss, friendly place. Merry Christmas everyone!
