Car flips at unmarked intersection in Ballard

A collision resulting in a flipped vehicle blocked the intersection of 11th Ave NW and NW 57th St this morning.

Kari Keys posted the above photo in the My Ballard Group, noting that the intersection is unmarked.

Seattle Police say the collision happened at 7:40am, and the intersection reopened at 8:25am. They didn’t have information about injuries at the scene.

  1. When traffic is backed up on 8th people cut through the surrounding neighborhoods often at dangerous speeds. Time for speed bumps or spike strips.

    1. I live off of 65th, and during the seafood fest, we receive all sorts of morons screaming up our side street. I now see signs informing people about unmarked intersections. Umm, how the F did they all then get a drivers license? To tip an auto here means 2 things: speed AND inattention PERIOD. Don’t worry though, our fearless leaders are working further on ways to eliminate another freedom: our personal autos.
