Our Redeemer’s Church to host Buy Nothing Yard Sale this weekend

Our Redeemer’s Church is gearing up for a big renovation, so they’re planning a Buy Nothing Yard Sale to help clear out the church.

The event will be held in the front yard of the church (2400 NW 85th St) on Sat. Aug. 8 from 10am to 2pm. They’ll have furniture including sofas, bookshelves, desks, and office furniture, plus books, craft supplies, office supplies, mini-fridges, coffee makers, and more. Everything will be given away for free.

Our Redeemer’s will be closing temporarily while they conduct renovations; they expect to be out of the building by Aug. 15.

Masks are mandatory to attend, and social distancing is required. Parking will be available in the lot just west of the church.

  1. Sweet, I’m bringing my hobo camper and stocking on on furnishings for my new home on the N.E. corner of 24th and Market. Fridge, sofa, desk, I’m set!

    1. Just kidding. In all reality, the city isn’t going to clean these “encampments” up, been through that cycle many times.

Time for an new approach, “activist” Seattle style. Fed up Ballard residents band together and push all the homeless encampment trash into the street. It’s our “protest.” City will have to do something then if it’s blocking traffic.

      1. Wrong again… it appears you like getting beat-up online! King county latest numbers… covid infections skyrocket and finally peaked. Deaths and hospitalizations still haven’t moved… but wait… wanna be civil engineer Truth claims “it’s because of the masks” but no… smart people claim masks reduce the infection rate, not the death or hospitalization rate.. none of this adds up. How is it possible that deaths and hospitalization haven’t changed in KC?

Bottom line, it’s clear in this city, vigilante justice is the only game in town. Got a problem, fix it yourself. Hobo garbage, I push it into the street!

        1. So 150,000 dead, yet wannabe immunologist neighborhood claims:

It’s a conspiracy! It’s no worse the flu! Look at the death rate! Masks are the government trying to mind control us!

How is it possible that deaths and hospitalization haven’t changed in KC?

Masks bro, it’s masks. Social distancing and just avoiding indoor crowds helps as well. People in King County tend to be more intelligent and self-preserving than the states where the virus is out of control, hence following basic medical recommendations. Take that away and King County gets just as bad as California, Texas, Florida, etc.

If you need a conspiracy to get your juices flowing, how about:

People in LIBERAL King County are only following medical advice, including masks and social distancing, to reduce hospitalizations and deaths to make Trump look bad! It’s a LIBERAL CONSPIRACY! LIBERATE KING COUNTY!!!!!111

  2. Despite the spelling error and other comment errors in judgement, I just wanted to be thankful for this church. The people of this church truly help and try to help in this neighborhood and in the world at large.
