Your 2020 Halloween map for spooky houses and creative treat delivery systems

If you’re wondering what you should do with the family for Halloween, this should help: a Ballard resident has created a Halloween map, full of spooky houses to check out and places with creative candy distributions.

The map was created by Lexi (of Old Ballard Liquor Co. fame); to get your house added, email her at ballard@agorainfo.com and she’ll do the rest.

“Since COVID is changing the way that people approach Halloween this year, an incredible range of creative decorating and treat delivery systems are being thought up by neighbors,” Lexi writes.

“Candy slides, chutes, zip lines, black light candy hunts… People are coming together to share materials, suggestions, whole blocks are doing kid-friendly activity hours with appropriate precautions and distancing.  There are also so many decorations around that I’m starting to promote the idea of a COVID-safe, December-holiday-lights-style drive around the neighborhood to look at all the Spooky houses that are set up.  You wouldn’t even need to get out of your car.”

Email Lexi and tell her your address, description of how you’re handing out candy, and your start-time. (You have until noon on Saturday Oct. 31 to be added to the map.)
