Ballard box still the busiest in Seattle; library closed today to allow for ballot drop-offs

The Ballard Library will be closed to the public today (Election Day) to allow for ballot drop-offs.

Five total libraries are closed to help ease traffic for voters; the Beacon Hill, Broadview, High Point, and Lake City branches are all closed to curbside pickups, returns, and restroom access.

The Ballard ballot box is still the most popular in Seattle; 34,399 ballots have been deposited at the Ballard drop-off according to King County Elections.

You might find that some blocks around the city are closed today: the Seattle Dept. of Neighborhoods allowed residents to close off non-arterial blocks as part of their Rock the Block program. Keep an eye out for street closure signs around Ballard—all blocks will be reopened by 9pm tonight.

And if you haven’t already voted; there’s still time: you can register and vote in person at any polling station until 8pm tonight.
