12:40 am: More than 63,000 customers are now without power, according to Seattle City Light’s outage map.
12:15 am: One of the strongest wind events in recent years has left 48,803 customers without power, according to Seattle City Light. As of this writing, most of Ballard still has power, but there are outage patches in Greenwood, Phinney and along the south side of the Ship Canal.
A wind gust of 56 mph was recorded at the 520 Bridge just after midnight.
