BHS Marching Band to march through the neighborhood today

Today, the Ballard High School Marching Band will be taking their practice through the streets of Ballard.

The students are marching through the neighborhood to practice for their Veterans Day Parade appearance in Auburn; this will be the second time they parade through nearby streets to practice.

Today’s practice will start at about 2:30 p.m. at the BHS field. They plan to start marching sometime between 3 and 4 p.m., starting at BHS and heading up 14th Ave NW to 75th St Nw. They’ll take a right on NW 75th St and head east to 11th Ave NW, where they’ll take another right and head south toward NW 70th St.

From there, they’ll take a left on 9th Ave NW, and will stop at Kirke Park for a short performance. Then it’s back south on 9th Ave NW to NW 67th St and back to BHS.

If you want to catch them, keep an eye (and an ear) out between 3 and 4 p.m. Their timing and route is approximate, and they’ll take some detours depending on what roadblocks they may encounter.
