Ballard Mini Storage sells for $7 million

The Ballard Mini Storage facility at 4714 Ballard Ave NW has sold for $7 million.

The seller, SP Storage LLC and partners, acquired the building in 1989 for just over $1.5 million, the Seattle DJC reports.

According to King County records, the purchaser is listed as 4722 Ballard Avenue NW LLC and is Delaware-based.

The new owners appear to plan to keep it as a storage facility and have renamed it SecureSpace Self Storage Ballard. SecureSpace owns and operates self-storage facilities across the county in eight states, including two others in Washington in Tacoma and Lakewood.

“We are diligently working on upgrading your experience with our website and soon providing the latest amenities in securing your belongings,” the new owners wrote in a message to tenants. “We look forward to serving you and satisfying your storage needs.”
