Police responded to a shooting in Ballard on Tuesday evening that sent one man to the hospital.
Police say a 49-year-old man was shot in the hip; he told officers that the shooting happened at the encampment in the 1400 block of NW 53rd St.The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are responding to a shooting near 15th Ave NW and NW Leary Way. One male victim with an apparently non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the hip. More info when available.

The victim gave police a description of the suspect; no word yet on whether police made any arrests.
