Police arrest drunk driver following fatal collision on Saturday night

A drunk driver struck and killed a pedestrian late Saturday night in Interbay.

Seattle Police say the 33-year-old driver was driving northbound on 15th Ave W just before 11 p.m. when he passed another vehicle just south of Gilman Drive W, lost control of his car, and drove onto the sidewalk where he struck the pedestrian.

Seattle Fire Department medics responded and declared the pedestrian deceased at the scene. Police arrested the driver and processed him for a DUI. He is now booked in King County Jail for investigation of vehicular homicide.
