HolidayFest to take over Ballard this weekend

The annual HolidayFest will be coming back to Ballard on Saturday.

The Ballard Alliance will turn Marvin’s Garden Park next to the bell tower into a winter wonderland with live music, elves, holiday treat bags, fresh popcorn, hot cocoa, photos with Santa, and Tomte Trail price giveaways.

The Tomte Trail scavenger hunt has been going on all month, in which 26 local business stamp passports for customers who spotted the Jul-Tomte figurine somewhere inside the store. Those who received at least 10 stamps can enter the grand prize drawing for a family member to the National Nordic Museum.

“Coming together as a community to welcome the holiday season is a long-standing tradition in
Ballard,” said Mike Stewart, Executive Director of the Ballard Alliance. “I look forward to
spending the festive occasion with residents again this year as we celebrate the season.”

The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Dec. 3.
