Ronette’s Psychedelic Sock Hop to close for good on Monday

After less than a year on Leary, Ronette’s Psychedelic Sock Hop has announced it will be closing for good next week.

Owners Ben Verellen, Steve Snere, Ele Sykes, and Paul Ohlhaut shared the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, saying “we each have other things in our lives that we need to focus on and have decided Ronette’s is not going to be a long term project for us right now.”

The live music venue, which replaced Drunky Two Shoes (4105 Leary Way NW), opened in April. Its funky mixture of pasta and go-go dancing has been popular since it opened, with Mixtape Pasta chef Megan Barone heading up the menu.

Ronette’s will have live music throughout the weekend and will close after service on Monday.
