Mediterranean grill Shawarma Time will be opening a second location in Ballard in January.
Shawarma Time will move into the former Plaka Estiatorio location at 5407 20th Ave NW—the owners tell My Ballard they expect to open in mid-January 2023.
Plaka Estiatorio closed in May 2019 after 11 years in Ballard.
Shawarma Time also operates a location in the University District at 4701 Roosevelt Way NE. Along with serving halal specialties and shawarma, they’re known for kebabs, falafel, hummus, and manousheh, which is a traditional Lebanese flatbread.
