You can now set out your Christmas tree along with other holiday greens for pickup alongside your other yard/food waste.
Seattle Public Utilities is picking up trees for free through Jan. 31: Residents can set their trees and other greenery next to their other composting waste for pickup on collection day.
Trees must be cut into lengths of four feet or less and all decorations, lights, tinsel, and ornaments must be removed.
If you’d rather drop your tree off, you can do so for free until Jan. 31 at the north or south transfer stations. Stations will be accepting up to three trees per vehicle.
