This Saturday, expect to see a flotilla of decorated boats floating through the Ship Canal.
The Seattle Easter Boat Parade will bring dozens of decorated boats to Ballard for its 4th annual event on April 8.
“Boats decorated in colorful Easter themes, there’s a lot of hot pinks, purple, blue, yellow and mint green blow-up bunnies, balloons, creative decorations and more,” the event website reads. The parade welcomes all vessels, from powerboats to yachts, sailboats to commercial fishing boats, tugboats and research vessels.
The route starts on South Lake Union and heads north and west into the Lake Washington Ship Canal to the Ballard Locks, where it u-turns and heads to Fishermen’s Terminal for the finish.
If you want to join in on the parade, register your vessel and show up at the parade start to check in at 1:45 p.m.
