Ballard SeafoodFest music lineup announced for 2023

The Ballard Alliance has announced the music lineup for this year’s Ballard SeafoodFest.

This year’s festival, happening July 14 to 16, will include a wide mix of musical genres including indie rock, soul, funk, and new wave.

The headliners include the 80s new wave tribute band Nite Wave playing on Friday night, Seattle-based soulful garage rock duo The Black Tones and indie rock band Smokey Brights playing Saturday night, R&B/rock/gospel singer-songwriter Shaina Shepherd along with funk and soul collective Eldridge Gravy and the Court Supreme playing on Sunday night.

Here’s the full list of musical acts:

Friday, July 14:

  • 7:45 – 10:00 PM: Nite Wave
  • 7:00 – 7:30 PM: #All4Doras
  • 6:00 – 7:00 PM: DJ

Saturday, July 15:

  • 8:30 – 10:00 PM: The Black Tones
  • 7:00 – 8:00 PM: Smokey Brights
  • 5:30 – 6:30 PM: Smoker Dad
  • 4:00 – 5:00 PM: La Fonda
  • 2:30 – 3:30 PM: Linda From Work
  • 1:00 – 2:00 PM: Peyote Ugly

Sunday, July 16:

  • 6:30 – 8:00 PM: Shaina Shepherd
  • 5:00 – 6:00 PM: Eldridge Gravy
  • 3:30 – 4:30 PM: Wild Rumours
  • 2:00 – 3:00 PM: Breaks and Swells
  • 12:30 – 1:30 PM: School of Rock

“We’re thrilled to announce this year’s music lineup for Ballard SeafoodFest,” Mike Stewart, Executive Director of the Ballard Alliance, said in a statement. “With such an incredible mix of artists, there’s something for everyone, whether you’re a fan of ’80s new wave, R&B, or indie soul. We can’t wait to see everyone dancing and having a great time at the festival.”

The organizers have also recently opened up volunteer sign-ups. Each shift comes with a free Alder-smoked salmon BBQ dinner.
