A new apartment building is in the works for the corner of 15th Ave NW and NW 61st St in Ballard.
The application is for the property at 1501 NW 61st St, and includes a 5-story, 51-unit apartment building with parking for four vehicles.
The current building, home to the Seattle Mattress Company, would be demolished to make way for the new apartment.
Clark Barnes created the most recent renderings for the development back in 2021. It’s unclear if they will be the architects moving forward, or if new design plans are in the works.
Comments will be accepted through June 20 and should be submitted via the SDCI website or via regular mail (address below) using the record number 000518-23PN.
