Ballard Commons spray park turns on after being dry for three summers

The City of Seattle turned on the Ballard Commons Park spray feature for the first time since the pandemic.

The Ballard Commons spray park was off during the pandemic in 2020, and the city decided not to turn it on at all during the summer of 2021 due to the encampment and health concerns in the park. The park remained fully closed to the public in 2022 during the rehabilitation and renovation work.

The spray park is now on from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Sept. 4.

Seattle Parks and Recreation has a full list of open spray parks, pools, wading pools, beaches, and boat ramps on their website.
