Local coffee roasters Kuma Coffee to host a rare pop-up at Interbay roastery this weekend

This Saturday, Kuma Coffee will open up its roastery to the public for a rare pop-up cafe event.

Kuma Coffee Owner Peter Mark tells My Ballard he’s excited to be hosting another summer event. “We’ve missed having folks visit the roastery and are looking forward to having them back in,” he said.

Mark doesn’t often open up the roastery to the public. He’s hosted pop-ups elsewhere over the years, frequently at Reuben’s Brews in Ballard.

This Saturday, Kuma will be open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. pairing espresso with bagels from Rachel’s Bagels and lemon polenta cake from Sugar Bakery.

Kuma is located at 3401 Thorndyke Ave W #100.
