Brown Bear Car Wash celebrating its 66th anniversary with free car washes this Thursday

This Thursday, August 24, Brown Bear Car Wash (5111 15th Ave NW) will wash cars for free to celebrate its 66th anniversary.

Seattle-based Brown Bear offers free car washes every year for its anniversary at every tunnel wash location around Puget Sound. Last year, it washed 33,692 cars on its anniversary at its 28 locations.

“There’s no better way to celebrate this milestone than to dedicate an entire day of free car washes to the public,” Brown Bear Founder and CEO Victor Odermat said in a statement. “It generates plenty of smiles, not to mention thousands of sparkling cars and trucks.” Odermat opened the company’s first location in 1957 at 1800 15th Ave West in Seattle.

The free car washes will be available on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at all tunnel wash locations, including the one at 5111 15th Ave NW in Ballard.
