The annual survey to solicit feedback on public safety and security concerns is now live.
Seattle University (SU) administers the Seattle Public Safety Survey, which is now in its ninth year. You can access the survey online; they’ll be collecting responses until Nov. 30.
Seattle University provides a report on the results to the Seattle Police Department, which SU says helps SPD “better understand your neighborhood’s safety and security concerns.”
The survey informs SPD’s Micro-Community Policing Plans, which helps Seattle Police understand the concerns of each neighborhood and gives them clear areas of focus.
The 2022 survey results showed that property crime was the top public safety concern for Ballard North, while homelessness was ranked as the highest concern in Ballard South.
