Exit 5 Korean Barbecue coming to 24th Ave NW and NW Market St

There’s a new restaurant coming to Ballard: Exit 5 Korean Barbecue is opening at 2318 NW Market St.

The Seattle DJC reports that Exit 5 is making moves to take over the corner of NW Market and 24th, in a 5,803 square foot space on the ground floor of the new apartment building that’s due to open this fall.

Exit 5 Korean Barbecue already has a location in Renton—it appears the Ballard spot will be their second restaurant.

The new apartment—known as The Ballard Independent—has 238 units. The Holland Partner Group with architect Carrier Johnson + Culture have been building the seven-story apartment since 2022.

The Ballard Independent location was once home to a group of business that burned in the 2019 fire on the 2300 block of NW Market St.
