This weekend, over 150 restaurants, bars, and cafes across Seattle will be raising money for immigrant rights.
A number of Ballard establishments are joining in on the Seattle Hospitality Immigration Fundraiser, happening Friday, Feb. 7 through Sunday, Feb. 9 (see map below).

Each restaurant/bar/cafe is choosing its own form of fundraising, some offering specials and others donating a portion of sales. Many will be raising funds for the Northwest Immigrants Rights Project (NWIRP).
For example, Slim Goody is donating $1 for every cocktail sold to NWIRP, and Dough Joy is donating 10% of all donut sales to Immigration Equality, which supports LGBTQ+ immigrants and asylum seekers.
