Ballard Joann to close as part of nationwide closures

The Ballard Joann Fabrics (2217 NW 57th St) is closing after the fabrics and arts chain store declare bankruptcy twice in the past year.

Joann is closing 533 of its 800 stores nationwide—they’re shuttering at least one store in every state other than Hawaii.

The Ballard store is the only Joann in Seattle. It’s not clear when the store will close, but we’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
