Goodwill has opened a new donation-only drop-off site in Ballard, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and wait times at its nearby retail location.
The new site at 1145 NW Market St is open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and features a drive-up, drop-off system. Its opening follows community feedback about traffic congestion and long wait times at the nearby Goodwill store on 8th Avenue NW.
The new location accepts most standard donations, but does not take furniture, large appliances, mattresses, hazardous materials, or certain baby items such as car seats and cribs.
According to Goodwill, the Ballard site is part of broader efforts to improve donation logistics and expand access to the organization’s services.
