Ballard’s block party and tasting event, Ballard Bites & Brews, is returning next month, bringing together breweries, restaurants, and live local music.
The 21+ event—happening Sunday, Aug. 24—is a fundraiser to support the Ballard Food Bank’s work. All proceeds from the event will go toward advancing the organization’s mission to ensure that everyone has access to sufficient food.
Attendees will receive eight drink tickets to sample craft beverages from Ballard-based brewers and beyond. The lineup includes offerings from Obec Brewing, Reuben’s Brews, Stoup Brewing, Fremont Brewing, Bale Breaker, and many others. For those seeking nonalcoholic options, the event will feature specialty mocktails and alcohol-free beer.
Food will be provided by local restaurants, including Mainstay Provisions, Ethan Stowell Restaurants, Veraci Pizza, Ray’s Boathouse, Firefly Kitchens, and others. Guests can also expect sweet and savory offerings from Salmonberry Goods, Metropolitan Market, Serious Pie & Biscuit, and more.
In addition to food and drink, the event will feature live music from local bands, games, photo opportunities, and the chance to tour Ballard Food Bank and learn more about its impact in the community.
The event will happen in front of the Ballard Food Bank at 1400 NW Leary Way. Tickets are $85 and are available online.
