Seattle Sauna Festival coming to National Nordic Museum in November

The Seattle Sauna Festival, the Pacific Northwest’s first large-scale event dedicated to sauna, wellness, and community, will be held at the National Nordic Museum in Ballard on Nov. 1 and 2.

The two-day event will turn the museum’s outdoor area into “sauna city,” featuring a collection of wood-fired saunas from across the region. Each sauna will offer a different design and heat style.

The festival will also include cold plunges, live acoustic and DJ music, campfires, and Nordic-inspired food and drinks from Freya, the museum’s café. Offerings include soups, baked goods, smoked fish, and craft beverages.

General admission tickets include a 60-minute session with access to the saunas, cold plunges, and festival programming. VIP tickets provide 90 minutes of access, along with merchandise, a Nordic snack box, and a beverage.

Guests are asked to arrive prepared with a bathing suit, towel, robe, and water bottle. Dressing rooms and small lockers will be available; attendees should bring their own locks. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on both days.

Ticketed guests will also receive 50% off museum admission during the event.
