The gift store Dippy Fun (5512 17th Ave NW) has closed its doors after two years in Ballard.
Dippy Fun opened in Ballard in September 2023 and had another location in the U District, both of which are now closed.
In an announcement on social media, the owners said they’re relocating outside of Washington state.
“Many of you have felt the changes happening across Seattle, with venues, restaurants, bars, and shops closing earlier or shutting down altogether,” they wrote. “While we never experienced a broken window, ongoing safety concerns have impacted our daily operations, overall wellbeing, and the experience we want to create for our customers.”
They added that they’ll operate as an online store while shifting to seasonal markets around the U.S.
“Thank you to everyone who shopped with us, and shared so much love during our time here. Remember to keep supporting local and small businesses!”
