The Fremont sandwich staple Paseo Restaurant & Tiki Bar (4225 Fremont Ave N) is grappling with a $42,000 plumbing repair that they say was caused by tree roots under their building.
“Yeah… we’re having a bad week,” Paseo shared in an announcement. “Our entire plumbing system had to be repaired at Fremont, which cost us about $42,000, and could not have come at a worse time. Luckily, we’re now back up and running but at a time when us and many other small businesses are struggling with rising costs of operating, this is a pretty terrible setback for us.”
Paseo is running a $2 churro and $2 beer special going for the next week. They say the best way to support them is by stopping in or ordering delivery.
“Thanks for always showing us so much love, Seattle. We wouldn’t be here without you,” Paseo wrote.
