Five Guys & Ballard Coffee Co. burglarized overnight

Police are investigating two overnight burglaries in Ballard.

The first incident was just after 1 a.m. at Five Guys on NW Market St and 15th Ave NW, where Seattle Police said a group of burglars kicked in the door of the restaurant. One suspect stayed in an SUV while the other three entered Five Guys and exited shortly after, leaving in the SUV.

King 5 reports that the Five Guys manager estimated up to $5,000 in damages to the restaurant, though nothing was taken from inside the business.

About half an hour after the Five Guys break-in, Ballard Coffee Co. at 5905 15th Ave NW was burglarized, also by suspects who arrived in an SUV.

Police haven’t confirmed they are the same suspects.

The burglars at Ballard Coffee Company stole a bag with tools inside that were estimated to be worth $200. The suspects left traveling south on 15th Ave NW.

If you have information to share about the incident, contact Seattle Police at 206-233-5000.
