The Sunset Hill wood-fired kitchen Eldr (6414 32nd Ave NW) is getting close to reopening after a fire heavily damaged the restaurant over a year ago.
Eldr, which opened in December 2024, was forced to close its doors in April 2025 due to the fire. Eldr took over the former Samara spot, which closed in July after five years in the neighborhood.
The Eldr owners have been working hard to rebuild the space over the last several months and are in the final stretch before reopening to the public.
“We are looking forward to a spring menu with some of the favorites,” Eldr told My Ballard. “Cannot wait to have folks back in the space!”
