What does it mean to be a member? So glad you asked!
Ad-free reading experience
There are a few perks, but the big thing to know is that My Ballard members get an ad-free reading experience. Both membership tiers will be free from all banners and pop-ups.
Members-only forum
Another major perk is the reintroduction of the My Ballard Forum. You may remember the forum of years past, which we disabled as we lacked the resources to moderate it. This time around, things will be different: Rather than making it a public forum, only paid members will get to view the forum, post new topic discussions, and reply.
We have categories such as lost/found pets, events, meetups, buy/sell/trade/free, services, recommendations, and more.
You can think of it as a cozy place to connect with members, gain resources, and discuss things happening around the neighborhood.
Discounts at local businesses
We also have a membership tier that will get you discounts at local businesses. These will be updated on a rolling basis and are aimed at supporting our thriving business community while giving you something extra special.
