The Micro Venue now offering a haven for pandemic weddings in Ballard

A new event space has opened in the Ballard area on 1417 NW 54th St. The Micro Venue has launched its “micro wedding” studio space in Ballard.

The pandemic has changed just about everything this past year or so, especially the ways in which people gather (and celebrate!). But, The Micro Venue to hoping to ease this need for socialization and celebration for engaged couples.

The Micro Venue was created by a local Seattle couple, who had a micro wedding themselves due to COVID-19. After their own success with the wedding, they decided to open a small, intimate studio for couples sharing the same pandemic problem, the inability to have a wedding.

The Micro Venue offers Micro Wedding and Elopement all-inclusive packages that include design and floral arrangements, a photographer, catering, and of course, the cake and champagne to toast the day. All events may host up to eight guests and COVID-19 safety regulations must be followed.

While The Micro Venue is an envisioned wedding and elopement space, the studio is open for rent as a “blank canvas” to other events, such as networking.
