The bar and restaurant Hotel Albatross (2319 NW Market St) is closing its doors permanently on New Year’s Eve.
Hotel Albatross opened in 2015 as a joint venture between Ballard business owners Zach Harjo from Ocho, and Keith Bartoloni and Andrew Church from Hazelwood. It’s been a staple of the Ballard nightlife scene ever since, known for its funky tiki-nautical vibes, quirky (and delicious) menu, and regular live music.
The final night will include performances from The Juliette Show, who posted a note to tell followers about the closure.
“This is a loss for Ballard and the whole city, and it’s hard to articulate what this place has meant to me and many of the people I consider my best friends,” Juliette from The Juliette Show wrote on Instagram. “This place is a treasure, and it has been the place that I proudly take every single person who visits when I want to convince them that I have a cool life.”
